IMARC tech stars 2025: Part 3
- 28 June 2025
Some of the world’s most exciting mining and metals technology companies are coming to IMARC 2025 in October this year. Few are currently growing faster than Brazil’s aptly named Fast2Mine.
“Our aim is to create solutions that solve the real challenges of mining in a simple and efficient way,” CEO and founder Eder Griebeler said this month.
“A good system needs to be easy to install, easy to use, easy to integrate and easy to expand, because managing a mine must be easy.
“This vision has driven our global growth.”
The 2014 start-up has just added Argentina to its growing list of country entries and next month will show off its mining management systems (MMS) technology for the first time at a mining expo in Kenya. It recently forged a partnership with South African-based Talonite to support its growth in the region.
Griebeler says the company’s arrival in Argentina brings “our digital ecosystem to one of the most strategic markets in Latin American mining”, adding to growth in other parts of South America and elsewhere. He says circa-20,000 active daily users at more than 80 operations run by customer companies such as Kinross, Alcoa, Norsk Hydro, Equinox, Aura Minerals, Ero Copper and Ravenswood Gold have extended Fast2Mine’s presence on four continents.
“We are a company created by miners for miners with a very clear purpose,” Griebeler says. That aim is to “transform global mining through smart data, robust technology and operational simplicity”.
“With consolidated operations in Latin America, Africa and Oceania, Fast2Mine continues to expand its international presence and redefine operational management and optimisation in mining with cutting-edge technology and a scalable business model.
“Over the last two years the company has been expanding its operations and conquering strategic markets such as Australia, the United States, South Africa and Mexico, driving the digitalisation of mining at a global level.
“With over a decade of experience we are now recognised as a global leader in the development of MMS platforms that integrate operational data, automation, analytics and mobility to transform the management of openpit and underground mines.”
Griebeler says Fast2Mine grew its workforce from 60 to 100 employees in 2024 and that could double again this year as it expands its international profile and customer base.
On the product development front Fast2Mine has brought to market its MineVERSE “game-changer system” for operations managers: an offering that brings control of a mine “into the palm of the hand of everyone involved in the field, enabling proactive analysis, task management and agile communication”.
Other new developments include what Fast2Mine calls optimised dynamic allocation for real-time asset deployment; Mining Control BI, an AI-driven strategic decision-making platform; and Dynamic Pro for automation of cycle data collection and database management. This year it is advancing development of its “Mining Control Autonomous” system with Brazil's largest mining contractor, U&M.
“With this partnership FAST2 Mine aims to launch an agnostic system in 2025 that can be integrated with any autonomous truck, consolidating its position as the next generation global fleet management system,” Griebeler says.
“Our solutions are created by mining experts to deliver real impact and results.
“This is Fast2Mine’s engineering differentiator and allows us to scale globally with credibility.”
Griebeler will join a panel discussion on benchmarking and assessing fleet utilisation and productivity at IMARC 2025 in Sydney from October 21-23.
