Wenco profiles new face of asset management at IMARC
- 19 October 2025
Newly rebranded Wenco asset performance management digital solutions will be presented in Australia for the first time at the major International Mining and Resources Conference + Expo (IMARC) event at ICC Sydney from October 21-23.
The APM Track, APM React and APM Reliability products will be a centrepiece of mining equipment heavyweight Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia’s debut exhibit at IMARC, which is set for record attendance levels in 2025.
APM Track was formerly known as Maintenance Monitor and ReadyLine is now APM React.
Wenco, which has been part of Hitachi Construction Machinery for 15 years, says APM Reliability represents the “next evolution in mining maintenance strategy, using expert system models and multi-source data analysis to predict optimal maintenance timing for critical components”.
APM product manager, D'shan Kisoon, who will meet visitors and present on the Wenco digital portfolio, says APM Track streamlines mining maintenance by centralising activities, work orders and asset information in one platform.
“The solution tracks preventive maintenance scheduling, work order completion, maintains detailed component histories and enables better resource allocation across maintenance teams,” says Kisoon.
“Mining operations using APM Track achieve significant improvements in maintenance organisation, better compliance with scheduled maintenance programs and enhanced visibility into maintenance costs and equipment performance trends.
“The system provides maintenance managers with the data foundation needed for informed decision-making about asset utilisation, maintenance priorities and resource planning, while ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining comprehensive audit trails for all maintenance activities.”
APM React delivers real-time asset health intelligence by connecting directly to equipment sensors across mixed mining fleets, providing vital equipment condition data before problems become failures.
Kisoon says the OEM-agnostic system monitors engine performance, hydraulic systems, drivetrain components and other critical systems, delivering alerts and trend analysis that underpin condition-based maintenance strategies.
“Customers achieve measurable improvements in equipment uptime, reduced emergency repair costs and extended component life by identifying potential issues early and scheduling maintenance during planned downtime rather than experiencing unexpected failures.”
Kisoon says APM Reliability combines maintenance history from APM Track, visual wear assessment through image analysis of components, oil analysis results and other condition indicators into Wenco-developed models that generate scientifically-based recommendations for component replacement timing.
“APM Reliability presents an expert system approach that balances reliability risk with operational efficiency, helping mines to optimise their maintenance budgets by extending component life where safe to do so while preventing costly unplanned failures through data-driven replacement scheduling,” he says.
“The solution focuses initially on high-impact components like final drives and engines, providing clear ROI through reduced maintenance costs and improved asset availability, with expansion to additional component types based on proven model development and validation.”
By bridging real-time monitoring and prescriptive analytics the APM platform helps mines move beyond reactive maintenance, Kisoon says.
“We're helping mining operations transform their maintenance approach from reactive problem-solving to predictive asset optimisation using proven reliability engineering principles and expert system models, delivering measurable improvements in uptime, cost control and operational efficiency,” he says.
