They develop, construct, and operate offshore and onshore wind farms, solar facilities, energy storage projects, and bioenergy plants, while also providing energy products to customers.

In the context of the energy transition, Frijhoff emphasizes the importance of critical minerals and metals. As we shift towards renewable energy, demand for materials like lithium, copper, manganese, and rare earth elements will increase. These minerals play a crucial role in clean energy technologies, from batteries to electrification systems. Fortunately, many of these metals are geographically well-distributed in known terrestrial reserves, including countries like Chile, Peru, the Democratic Republic of Congo, China, and the United States.

Mining companies must balance the need for these critical materials with responsible mining practices. While the renewable energy transition reduces the overall amount of extracted materials compared to fossil fuels, responsible mining remains essential to minimize environmental impact and maintain social license to operate.
